Our evening runs start in four different locations, as per the details on the Spond app.
The LONGER / HILL REPS group meets outside the Hammerton Store on Great Western Road.

The FASTER 5k group meets outside Davidson's Chemist
​
The COUCH TO 5k, and SEDATE 5k JOGGING group meets outside the kitchen shop
​
We try and gather as quietly as we can, to not disturb the neighbours
​
The groups each have a run leader, and begin with a run briefing, detailing the planned route, and a 5-minute warm up walk
​
Please let the leader know if it is your first time.
MONDAY - 7PM
On Mondays we have four groups, leaving from the Hammerton Store at 7pm.

The HILL REPS group, which starts with a 2k run to the bottom of Gray Street, before a "pyramid rep" session on Gray Street. Suitable for all runners

The FASTER 5k, going at a pace around 6 to 6.30min/km (9.5 - 10 min/mile)
The JOGGING 5k going at around 6m30 to 7m30 min/km (10 - 12min/mile).

The COUCH TO 5k group which follows our "Couch to 5k" programme, beginning 60 seconds of running and walking, and gradually building up over the coming weeks to 5k.

These groups are suitable for anyone who can run that distance. Keep an eye on our social media and the Spond app for details of where we are in the current Couch to 5k programme.

WEDNESDAY - 6AM
On Wednesday morning at 6am, and we have gone back to holiding a hill rep session.
The run starts with a 5 minute warm up walk, followed by a 2k run to the bottom of Gray Street. We then do a "pyramid rep" before making our way back to the Hammerton Store.
Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. We wait for everyone to finish, and it really is the best way to improve your strength, your stamina and your speed.

WEDNESDAY - 7PM
On Wednesdays we have four groups, leaving from the Hammerton Store at 7pm.

The LONGER group covering around 7.5k
The FASTER 5k, going at a pace around 6 to 6.30min/km (9.5 - 10 min/mile)
The JOGGING 5k going at around 6m30 to 7m30 min/km (10 - 12min/mile).

As Wednesdays are sometimes a little quieter, we may consolidate some of the groups.
FRIDAY - 6AM
On Friday morning at 6am, we have either two separate paced 5k groups or one Combined 5k group, suitable for anyone able to run that distance.
Speedier runners will be expected to slow the pace, or do extra loops, so the group stays together.

SATURDAY SOCIALS
Running and Cake
On Saturdays, we hold a Saturday Social run, starting at Duthie Park and covering a variety of distances, depending on what people are training for.
​
We currently have two groups - one building from 5 to 10k, and the other group building from 10k to half marathon.
​
The runs finish back at the Duthie Park cafe where we congregate for coffee and cake
