Our evening runs start at the Hammerton Store on Great Western Road. 


The morning runs start over the road at the top of Salisbury Terrace.


We try and gather as quietly as we can, to not disturb the neighbours

The groups each have a lead runner and a tail runner, and begin with a run briefing, detailing the planned route, and a 5-minute warm up walk

MONDAY - 7PM

On Mondays we have four groups, leaving from the Hammerton Store at 7pm.

The Fast "F" Group - will cover around 5k, going at a pace around 6min/km (9.5min/mile). 


The Long "L" Group - will cover between 6 and 8k, at a slower pace between 

6.5–7.5 min/km  (10.5-12 min/mile).

The Jogger "J" Groups - will cover around 5k, and are suitable for anyone who can run that distance.   During the C25k programme, the Jog group all run together.   Outwith the C25k programme, the Jog group breaks down into "Steady" runners - generally around 6-7 min/km (9.5 - 11 min/mile) pace and the "Sedate" group following at around 7–8 min/km (11-12.5 min/mile) pace

WEDNESDAY - 6AM

On Wednesday morning we alternate between a hill rep session, and lamppost sprints.


For the hill reps, we begin with a 2k warm up run, and then do a "pyramid rep" on Gray Street, before a 1km run home.  It's suitable for all, and is great for improving your strength, stamina and fitness

The lamppost sprints follow a route around Forbesfield Road and Burns Road, with the intention being that you increase the pace between alternate lampposts, and recover in between.  Again, an excellent session for improving your fitness and speed.

WEDNESDAY - 7PM

On Wednesday evenings we have four groups, leaving from the Hammerton Store at 7pm.

The Fast "F" Group - will cover around 5k, going at a pace between 6–7 min/km (9.5-11 min/mile). 


The Long "L" Group - will cover between 6 and 8k, at a slower pace between 

6.5–7.5 min/km  (10.5-12 min/mile).

FRIDAY - 6AM

On Friday (except durign the C25k programme) we have two groups, generally following the same leisurely 5k route around the streets


The "Steady" runners are generally around 6-7 min/km (9.5 - 11 min/mile) pace and the "Sedate" group following at around 7–8 min/km (11-12.5 min/mile) pace
