Balmoral Update

Balmoral update

Hope you are all feeling good and looking forward to next weekend? Your race numbers should have been landing through your letter boxes this last week. Let me know if they haven’t arrived. If not, you should be able to get a new race number on the day from the registration tent.

In terms of the day itself, we’ve got a pretty full bus going up. I’m going to check the exact number of seats to see if we can take any more as there have been some last minute requests.

Timings

10am. Bus leaves Hammerton Store

Collections at Cults/Culter/ crathes if required. (Please comment below)

11.30. Bus arrives at Balmoral and parks at the Castle (much better than taking your own car and being in Car Park 19)

12.30. 5k race starts

1.30. FLJ team photo

2pm. 10k race starts with everyone cheering the 10k runners home.

3pm 5.30pm. Prosecco in the sun

5.30pm. (Or sooner if cold). Bus departs back to Aberdeen

7pm. Post run drinks in the Great Western Hotel

Catering

At Balmoral, there will be plenty burger vans and food trucks. We will also have snacks, tea and coffee at the FLJ gazebos.

Feel free to bring any home baking or cakes to share out.

We will also have A LOT of Prosecco (and beers too) to get you through the afternoon. It’s easier for me to provide and then you can contribute cash.

You can donate to the Prosecco pot (bring cash) or through PayPal.me/FLJs

Merchandise

It would be great to see as much purple as possible. Bring all your hoodies and T-shirts along

Harris will try and get people’s orders to them this week, and we will take all the remaining stock of T-shirts, hats and buffs up to Balmoral to sell on the day.

I won’t be on the bus itself, as I’m heading up early with Rory Smith to set up, along with Chris and Greig.

Anyone want to volunteer to take a register ?

Hope you have a great week in the build up and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
